Saryu Dalal is a Life Coach, Leadership Trainer and Energy Psychologist who has given workshops around the world. As a feature in our Visual Collaborative “Vivencias” interview series, Saryu shares a wealth of experience through various practices such as energy work and meditation. She also shares beautiful observations about society potential.
(VC) Are you more of a Visual, Auditory or Kinesthetic yoga practitioner?
(Saryu) My yoga practice is a dance interwoven among all three orientations – Visual, Auditory and Kinesthetic. When I am learning a new pose, I am visual and kinesthetic. When I am in a yoga studio, I practice guided yoga poses with my eyes closed and I am merged with all my senses. It is a deep journey inwards, following my breath, leading to oneness of the mind, the body and the spirit. As I move deeper in my practice, the role of yoga shifts from being mostly physical to bringing stillness of mind. So, with continued and consistent practice I have days during which I feel like I experience a strong connection with the divine. I am beginning to enjoy “my time” during private practice
(VC) When people come to you for wellness therapy, do you find that it is the mind that needs healing more than the body or is it the other way around?
(Saryu) With decades of experience in the field of alternative wellness therapies I have witnessed a miraculous recovery of my clients from physical pain when thought patterns are shifted. Fortunately today, modern science proves that almost 95 percent, the cause of diseases are rooted in the mind. When we are in stress; Fight, Flight and Freeze reactions create constrictions in our energy channels, resulting in energy blockages which manifest as diseases. The breath nourishes and oxygenates the trillions of cells in our body, healing our old wounds. Yoga, which involves ample breath work (Pranayama) and effective physical postures (asana), brings about an overall development of an individual. Hence, it is rightly considered to be a pathway to liberation resulting in both physical and mental bliss.
we can activate the God given self-healing mechanism of our body is a must. We do not need complex processes. Instead, a strong and clear Intention is the starting point
(VC) You are certified in numerous wellness practices. Do you find a commonality or preferred practice among any?
(Saryu) Real magic to healing is the awareness that we are energy beings, transmitting and receiving energy constantly. Just like taking a bath, we need to learn how to get rid of any negative or unwanted energy we may have unintentionally picked up during the day which affects our health. Additionally, a fundamental belief that we can activate the God given self-healing mechanism of our body is a must. We do not need complex processes. Instead, a strong and clear Intention is the starting point. Then a simple ritual that creates an alignment of the three minds namely; conscious, subconscious and superconscious, is all we need in most cases. Our body holds the wisdom and root cause and origination of our issues. Hence I am drawn to simple tools such as a heart-focused breathing process that I have developed. It is an integration of various skills I have learnt over the years.
(VC) In your quiet or noisy moments how does Saryu get inspired to inspire others. What ultimately motivates you to create work you do. Are you intensely spiritual or physiological like many in your field or are you more scientific?
(Saryu) I get my energy and excitement by connecting with beautiful souls all over the world who seek the same – love, joy and peace! My clients are my gifts as they help me see my own light. I am connected to my own divine essence when I work with others. My daily practice of yoga, meditation, faith in Supreme Energy , friends and family – all of which sustain my passion and purpose
(VC) There is no time like the present, yet some mention the renaissance period as a period they admire. If you can time-warp back to any era, what time would it be and why?
(Saryu) I love the present era, since we are now witnessing the confluence of science and spirituality. More people today are waking up to what truly matters. Even the Medicine and Corporate world is leaning towards spirituality and ancient wisdom. This is certainly the best time to be alive in the history of humanity. I believe that while I live in the present, I also carry the rich history of past generations in my DNA.
My biggest advice to everyone is never to believe the inner critical chatter which is the biggest blockage to success. Have courage not to give up on your dreams
(VC) As a woman who is well travelled and exposed to quite a lot of
situations and partnerships from your career, what would you tell the aspiring young girl or an entrepreneur about success and business risk?
(Saryu) I love working with youth as they are the promising leaders of tomorrow. My biggest advice to everyone is never to believe the inner critical chatter which is the biggest blockage to success. Have courage not to give up on your dreams- start taking baby steps towards your goals even when you do not have all the answers.
(VC) What kind of personal or business engagements can world expect
from you within the next few years, perhaps a podcast?
(Saryu) I love to speak on bringing awareness to the gigantic powerhouse – our subconscious mind. Through my workshops I teach people how to tap in to that power in a simple, easy and effective way. The process changes our stress in a simple, easy, and effective way which brings ease. My humble contribution to the planet is to introduce people to the role of limiting beliefs and sabotaging patterns in leadership training programs. Peace within creates a ripple effect on organizations and communities.
